Do you have a list of references in a Word document and want to add them to Mendeley – all at once?
This is a common problem for researchers sho have started writing and publisihing before being introduced to the reference management software. In the exmaple bleow, I have saved my doctoral thesis with 400+ references from a PDF format to MS Word format, so the refernces are no longer formatted as references.
What as waste, right?
Well, there is a way to save yourself time and effort redoining them one by one. Here is how you can do that in exactly 3 steps.
Step 1: Open the Word document with the references in it. Select and copy the references you need to transfer.

Step 2: Go to http://www.anystyle.io

Step 3: Paste the references then Click Parse

Step 4: Save the results in BibTex (or XML) Format

Step 5: Click on the downloaded file and VOILA!
